Learn in Studies
At Haven Bible Church, we live out our faith through four rhythms that shape every believer’s walk with Christ: worship in gatherings, grow in groups, learn in studies, and serve on teams. Each rhythm helps us know God more deeply, love one another more faithfully, and live out the gospel more fully—for the glory of God and the good of His church.
After completing our Next Step Class, you’ll receive an email to see if you would like to join our rhythms of serving on teams, growing in groups, and learning in studies! Follow the link in the email to sign up for teams, groups, or studies.

Whether young (18 years or older) or old, stay-at-home mom or corporate executive, single or married, man or woman — studies are for you. Studies are Haven’s opportunity to learn and grow together in community. Each season, we open God’s Word —sometimes through a book of the Bible, other times through a biblically grounded book — to help us know our God more deeply and to see ourselves more clearly in light of who He is and what He says.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.” - James 1:22-25

The core call of every Christian is to die to self and live for Christ. We learn to do this as we follow His example and discover the deep joy that comes through obedience. In the Great Commission, Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples,” and one of the ways we do that is by teaching others to obey everything He has commanded. To obey Him, we must first know what He has said—and that’s why we study the Bible together.
Each study is an opportunity to grow in our understanding of God’s Word, our love for Christ, and our ability to live out His truth in everyday life.

Every good thing requires commitment—and that’s true of our studies as well. We invite you to come ready to engage: to do the work, to think deeply, and to share honestly. In our discussions, we don’t just share our answers—we also share our questions, doubts, and discoveries. Together, we’re growing not only in our knowledge of God’s Word but also in being truly known and cared for in community.
-
Consistency is key to real growth. When we learn together each week, we’re not only growing in our understanding of God’s Word—we’re also growing in our understanding of one another. A steady rhythm of gathering helps truth take root in our hearts and relationships deepen in meaningful ways.

Studies are approximately 6-12 weeks depending on the study.
-
Studies are for adults only. Of course, exceptions are made for newborns up to six months. We leave it up to each family to work out their own childcare.
*The spring 2026 women’s study will have childcare available.
